European Patent Attorney Candidate

Job Description

  • Comprehensive training program to become a qualified European Patent Attorney
  • Drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the European Patent Office
  • Responding to official communications and examination reports
  • Conducting prior art searches and patentability assessments
  • Assisting in opposition and appeal proceedings
  • Studying European patent law, EPO guidelines, and relevant case law
  • Preparing for the European Qualifying Examination (EQE)
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their technical innovations

Required Qualifications

  • Technical Background: Master's degree (preferred) or Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering. Preferred fields: Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related disciplines.
  • Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken English (working language), Fluent Chinese (native or near-native level), Basic German (willingness to improve).
  • Additional Qualifications (Preferred): Previous experience in patent prosecution or IP field, international study or work experience, strong analytical and logical thinking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, genuine interest in technology and intellectual property law.
